Beating title holder

Together with a friend, I have made an effort to find out which players has won most times against a defending champion in slams and masters tournaments in the Open Era. Also how many times they proceeded to win the tournament. Here are the results:

Most times defeating defending champion in a slam:

Most times defeating defending champion in a masters (both 1970-89 and 1990--> included):

Total slam + masters:

And here is the amount of times the player went on to win the tournament after beating the title holder. Novak Djokovic is a perfect 9 for 9:
