Re: Cumulative stats of tournament winners

Just a question, when I looked on the ATP site I noticed some recent matches for which no stats are available, and I imagine this is more prevalent for older tournaments. Given the nature of the stats wouldn't this skew the picture a bit and make some findings potentially bogus?

TT Singles 2012: W: Winston-Salem SF: Honolulu CH, Rotterdam, Memphis, 's-Hertogenbosch, Wimbledon, Beijing, Vienna QF: Barcelona, Nice, Bastad, Petange CH, Bangkok R16: Monte Carlo, Madrid
TT Doubles 2012: W: Caloundra CH (with kingroger), Acapulco (with keqtqiadv) F: Beijing (with KittyTennis) SF: Sydney (with Belludal), Memphis (with Belludal), Guadalajara CH (with kingroger), Wimbledon (with RHB1993) QF: Barcelona (with extremaduratenis), Cincinnati (with stbanchile)

Re: Cumulative stats of tournament winners

I tried my best to eliminate frequent patterns of missing data like
http://www.atptennis.com/5/en/player...nd=4&plyr=K023 or http://www.atptennis.com/5/en/player...nd=4&plyr=C344 for example.

So, if everything else is missing, but it shows 0 aces for player 1 and player 2, then these numbers were not counted in a stats like "fewest aces against"

However, I did not spend too much time on it yet and I might have missed some other patterns which occur frequently.

Also it goes without saying that the stats might be skewed if there are wrong numbers given. This means if every other category looks fine, but 0/0 break points means they had no clue what the right number was or if it is wrong itself, there is no way to confirm the true number and it entered the count.

If anybody count manually some numbers I gave in this thread (maybe because they can't believe it or because they are interested to confirm because it is about a favorite player of them) and finds some errors or missing match stats for a player on his way to a title, then let me know about it and it helps me to define other frequent missing value patterns

Carlos --- C'MON Lleyton!!! --- Kiwi!!! --- Jürgen --- Juan

Best of luck to all Germans : Nicolas Kiefer | Rainer Schüttler | Lars | Florian | Tommy

Re: Cumulative stats of tournament winners

Thank, good stats Neely!

Is that impressive Tommy win a tournament without break point against him!! That's all-time big!!!!!!

And today in TV interview Federer think he is special going only unbroken (but break points against) into the final!

Albert Costa forever +++ Tommy Haas +++ Ivo Karlovic +++ Peter Luczak

RAFA owns Fedclown ~~~ H2H record 14-7 -- ~~~ 3 different GS finals included
Byebye Fedjerk, your dominance period is over! Nadal will win like 10 more Slams!

Zero tolerance against dopers!
