let's explain that again...for MS events guys don't commit, they withdraw from those tournaments. It's because of the stupid atp rules-if you're high enough in the rankings it means you have to play.Expect withdrawals

The cutoff for these commitments was probably somewhere around 50, so there are a lot of quality players in qualifying. Nothing to be ashamed of.

who are some of the players u expect to withdraw? Obviously injured players but the ones who aren't injured.

Come on Paradorn. Pick up your game. You can play better. You know you can. You can do it!

Ivanisevic injures knee

DUBAI, United Arab Emirates (Ticker) -- Former Wimbledon champion Goran Ivanisevic of Croatia played to a 6-6 tie with Russia's Andrei Stoliarov, then retired with a right leg injury.

Making his ATP-season debut, Ivanisevic strained a ligament above his right knee during the first point of the first-set tiebreaker. He went to a local hospital for an MRI scan shortly after the match finished.

"My knee just topped it, then I heard a click and I don't know if it's a strain or broken," Ivanisevic explained.

Ivanisevic's 2002 campaign was cut short after undergoing left shoulder surgery on May 16. He participated in Davis Cup doubles for Croatia and played in a challenger event.

"The shoulder was hurting, but I was happy the way I served, happy the way I played," the wild card said. "It was a really good match for me. I did some double faults, but that's normal for me. You can see I didn't play for 11 months. Some things can't just come overnight. But I hit the ball very clean. I think the shoulder is not a problem, now just the knee."

Under the headline "Ivanisevic to be out for at least 3 weeks":

Ivanisevic strained ligament during Dubai match

DUBAI, United Arab Emirates (AP) -- Former Wimbledon champion Goran Ivanisevic will be sidelined three-to-four weeks after injuring his right knee during the Dubai Open.

Doctors said he has a strained ligament, the ATP said Tuesday.

"I am feeling better now and I am planning to leave for home tonight," Ivanisevic told The Associated Press. He refused to elaborate.

Ivanisevic, 31, quit his match against Russian qualifier Andrei Stoliarov on Monday when he felt pain in his right knee and was forced to stop with the score 6-6.

Ivanisevic missed virtually all of last year's season because of a left shoulder operation.

"My shoulder was hurting but I was happy with the way I served, happy the way I played," he said. "I think the shoulder is not a problem now, but just the knee."

The first sign of trouble came while he was trailing Stoliarov 5-6 and 15-40, when he slipped and needed immediate treatment. However, he fought back and evened the set at 6-6 before collapsing in pain.

Ivanisevic won Wimbledon in 2001. His doubles play helped Croatia to a 4-1 win over the United States this month in the Davis Cup.

As for the guessing game of who won't be here, here are my question marks, mostly because of current injuries:

Clement, Arnaud (FRA)
Escude, Nicolas (FRA)
Ferrero, Juan Carlos (ESP)
Gonzalez, Fernando (CHI)
Haas, Tommy (GER)
Ivanisevic, Goran (CRO)
Krajicek, Richard (NED)
Sampras, Pete (USA)
