Good performance from him on the back of taking Polansky to three sets. Will be interesting to see what he can achieve this year.

Ben has showed some good score lines against Polansky and Kavcic, can't wait till the aussie challengers and futures i think Ben will bring out his A game and really beat some quality players good luck where ever you play next, does anyone know if he is playing the junior open.

Good stuff by Ben against a top player, but one who is really a clay court player. Kavcic won the majority of his matches on clay last year. Will be watching more of Ben next year, who now enters the senior ranks along with Tomic.

Impressive once again. Looks like he was serving well. Hopefully he can beat Marcus Daniell. It is the kiwi one and not the Brazilian one.

Shame Ben couldn't get a win over the ATP summer. Taking sets off Kavcic and Polansky must boost his confidence though.

Ben's Q section...

[3] Joseph SIRIANNI (AUS) vs [WC] Ben WAGLAND (AUS)
Patrick DAVIDSON (USA) vs Nima ROSHAN (AUS)
Jose (Rubin) STATHAM (NZL) vs Benjamin MITCHELL (AUS)
Marcus DANIELL (NZL) vs [6] Rameez JUNAID (AUS)

:worship:. Good week so far. Plays the winner of Rosol vs Chvojka.

Great effort from Benny to get the win today, Chvojka up next will be tough but if Benny can get over the line he'll move very close to the top 500 and really set himself up for the year. Seedings at most futures and perhaps even direct entry into some challengers if Ben can keep winning here. I hope for Australian tennis' sake that both Ben and Bernard do well this week and next week.

Benny beat Chvojka 3-6 6-1 6-4. Great effort considering he went down a break twice in the third. Next up Bernard or Ebden. Will be tough and Ben will most likely lose. Either way it has been a great week for Benny and hopefully he continues this form in Caloundra and gets some wins.

Hopefully Ben can keep it close against Tomic. Any news on the wildcards for Caloundra outside of the one given to Muster?
