Hello. Thinking of paying a trip to the Q first round tomorrow and I am not familiar with the players. Would someone suggest me any matches that possibly a good match? Thanks so much in advance.

Re: Qualifying Draw

Mannarino & Ouanna not on the OOP for Tuesday.

I know they will probaly play on Wednesday but is it because some-one might be pulling out of the Main Draw and with them as the next ALT, they would get in Directly and there wouldnt be a Lucky Loser spots.

Just a Thought.

I'm quite envious. Really wish I could go.

I think these matches are quite entertaining:
  • Scoville Jenkins USA vs. Dominik Hrbaty SVK (30)
    • Even if they are both not in prime shape, Hrbaty is still capable of showing glances of when he was in his prime, and he remains a fighter. He should be able to step it up in Grand Slams. Scoville, of course, is a local favourite and will want to lose coûte que coûte.
  • Horacio Zeballos ARG (2) vs. Xavier Malisse BEL
    • Possibly the best match of the draw. Zeballos has been racking up the wins in Challengers this year, and Malisse has had some good results too. I am expecting the Belgian enfant terrible to win this in straight sets, but it should definitely be an entertaining match, if only for the contrast in game styles, and for Malisse's ever-explosive character.
  • Adrian Mannarino FRA (4) vs. Simon Stadler GER
    • Even if Stadler is absolutely dreadful this year, Mannarino's matches are always entertaining. It might well not be the best match of the day, but it's worth going to for a set or so.
  • Prakash Amritraj IND vs. Alejandro Falla COL (31)
    • This should be a very good match. Prakash with his serve-and-volley style, and Falla's grinding. Falla is actually a very good hard court player and I am slightly favouring him in this. Should be one of the best matches of the day.
  • Peter Polansky CAN vs. Alex Kuznetsov USA
    • An in-form Kuznetsov, in my opinion robbed of a WC, against a good young Canadian. Both have a nice game to watch. I'd watch this, but mostly because most are favourites of mine.
  • Santiago Giraldo COL (11) vs. Martin Fischer AUT
    • This is the ultimate contrast in game styles. Giraldo will be pounding the ball; Fischer pushing it. And that's exactly the kind of game that can totally unsettle Giraldo mentally, so you should watch out for his explosive characters if things go awry for him.
  • Lukasz Kubot POL (12) vs. Lukas Dlouhy CZE
    • Kubot is a joy to watch when he is in form, and Dlouhy is still a good player even if he barely plays singles these days.
  • Alex Bogomolov Jr. USA (16) vs. Somdev Devvarman IND
    • Bogomolov is in form and Devvarman is overhyped, but not at all a bad player, especially on the US hardcourts.
  • Blake Strode USA (WC) vs. Alexandre Sidorenko FRA (26)
    • Strode seems one of the most promising young Americans, so use this chance to see him.
