Re: Who's Going?

I honestly am not sure of strictness at the USO because I usually bring a tote bag with my supplies for the day, so it's usually just one massive compartment. I do not think it is super strict with purses, I have never had a problem when I haven't done a tote, but they are pretty strict about not bringing in backpacks or anything of that sort.

The only day I am pretty sure I am going at the moment is September 1st, which is my birthday So if anyone sees me, you should buy me a drink I was planning on going more days, but *sigh* work sucks

Troicki - Djokovic - Del Potro - Kyrgios - Berankis
Cibulkova - Robson - Kirilenko - Azarenka
Retired but always loving Ferrero - Ancic - Kiefer

Going to the US open today

With the weather the way it is, is it worth it to go today? Is there any chance to see players practicing?

Thanks.

Yeah, that's what I was thinking, too. Oh well, maybe Sunday. Saturday is going to be hell with all those kids and their families.

Re: Going to the US open today

Does anyone know whether they'll move the qualifying matches to indoor courts today? Or will they just postpone to tomorrow. Tomorrow's weather also looks pretty bleak. Even sunday is iffy.

Re: Going to the US open today

Does anyone know if the pros will practice Sunday, the day before the 'official' beginning of the US Open? If so, I wouldn't mind going then.

Re: Going to the US open today

Why don't you just go on Monday? The forecast is for partly cloudy conditions, so you'll probably see some great tennis.

Re: Going to the US open today

Thing is, I can't afford to buy super expensive tickets and I'd rather watch a top 100 player from 10 feet away than Federer from the nosebleeds.

Don't buy stadium tickets, get a grounds pass, lots of action around the park. I agree, the outer courts are much more fun than the stadium courts the first week.

Grounds passes are sold out for a lot of the days of the first week, just get a cheap Ashe seat, it's only $5 more than a grounds pass anyway and just don't go in there
