Re: The Official Andreas Seppi Cheering Thread

Awful stuff from Andy today.

In the first set he looked so underpowered which I cannot understand. There was none of his usual good ballstriking, his serve was shit, couldn't do anything on return. He was doing shit all out there basically, NOTHING to upset his opponent whatsoever.

In the second his depth greatly improved and doing so obtained more errors from his opponent. He was moving the ball around a bit more but still was never consistently dominating the points. When he tried putting a bit more pace on the ball in the third, he failed miserably. Every time. It looks like he has no confidence, especially in his forehand.

One positive thing? His serve. Hit quite alot of aces at least it seemed like. Delivered two timely aces to hold serve at 4-4 30-30 in the second.

He had 00-40 on Tomic's serve early on in the third set. The umpire overruled an out call on Tomic's shot on the first one. Tomic's next service game had a number of deuces but Andy netted 3-4 forehands when he had them lined up, on some of those points. Tomic then broke him and that was that. Andy slipped on the match point.

Sorry to be so negative, hoping he can do something at Wimbledon.
