Hi anne, I've hardly been on this in the last month and a bit, just browsed now and then, but yes, he has just finished fitness boot camp regime in Valencia, so hopefully he will return fitter. He really needs to.

Marat won from Andy Murray and lost to Andy Roddick! Those were good matches! I am hoping for the best in Melbourne!

Re: Marat Safin Blog

The draw is so exciting, if this was 2005 or before, he would probably come through this draw no problems.

I would LOVE a repeat of the 2002 final. That would bring a lot of good memories back. Both players have declined for respective reasons and it would be great to see them fight it out again. I have faith in Marat beating Gulbis, so come on Thomas!

Re: Marat Safin Blog

to be honest, no so confident in marat now, but as for the former experience, if we are not confident in him, he would probably do a great job, hope so,haha

Re: Marat Safin Blog

Safin is not the player he was 2005 and prior. He's very different, I can't really put any faith into him any longer.

Re: Marat Safin Blog

He didn't have such a good draw indeed.. But he did play some good matches! The one against Baghdatis was amazing! Couldn't believe my eyes! Unfortunately he couldn't stay focused..!
Now Davis Cup!

Re: Marat Safin Blog

I am just hoping he can repeat some of the form he showed in the second and third sets, unbelievable.
